Alright, so because it's almost the end of 2008, I decided to make a post and write some sort of speech thing.


2008 was a very special and memorable year for me.  It was the year when a lot of my "firsts" had happened: my first year in college, my first time to be in the Dean's List (since there was no Dean's List in high school XD), my first time to dye my hair, my first time to love, and especially, my first real heartbreak.  Looking back at those "firsts", I guess I could say that some of them made me laugh and some made me cry, but nonetheless I'd always remember and look back at them with no regrets.

There were also other events that happened in 2008 that weren't exactly my "firsts" but are still memories that I'd treasure. Such are the fact that I was accepted in my dream school (Ateneo de Manila, the best school in the Philippines ^_^), my graduation, my summer vacation (in Baguio and Batangas with my friends, while Hong Kong with my mother XD), MeCorsem, ORSEM, MeCo leadership training, and lots of parties that I attended.  During these experiences of mine, I was able to get closer and even befriend others who aren't exactly in my immediate circle of friends, and more importantly in establishing relationships with these people, I was able to learn more about myself and become a better person.

Thus, because of all the experiences that I had during 2008, I consider it a blessed year for me.  Blessed because even if there were times when I felt sadness and pain, I was still able to hurdle all the hindrances that came my way and become stronger.  Moreover, I felt that 2008 was a year wherein a lot of people showed me their support, such as my family, friends, blockmates, and more importantly God; God showed me His support by giving me a lot of blessings that I should be thankful for and even obstacles that He knew I'd be able to overcome no matter how hard they are in order to bring out my great potentials and be more confident about myself.  With that said, I think I only have a few words to tell you people before this year ends: Thank you so much guys, and I hope you guys have a wonderful new year! :D

ALRIGHT, now let's get to the point and welcome 2009 with open arms.  I don't know how you guys are going to celebrate the new year, but as for me I'm celebrating it with my family.  In addition to that, I'll be writing down my new year's resolutions that I am determined to achieve within this year.  Here are some (if not all) of them:

1. GET OVER HIM.  Due to popular request, I shall give a hint about who this person is: Hero-Heroine by Boys Like Girls.  >D ROFL!
2. LOSE WEIGHT.  Another 20-30 pounds please? =A=
3. BE PART OF THE DEAN'S LIST AGAIN.  This time, I'm aiming for first honor instead of second.  I HAVE A LOUIS VUITTON/CHANEL BAG ON THE LINE! ;A;
4. BE MORE RESPONSIBLE IN TERMS OF...WELL, EVERYTHING.  No more procrastinating and being a brat!
5. SHOW OTHERS HOW I REALLY FEEL ABOUT THEM. I mean, there are just some people I really don't like but then I continue being polite to them. I feel like I should at least treat them coldly for them to know that I have a problem with them =A= I'd rather be brutally honest to them through my words/actions than be pretentious :|
6. SAVE MORE MONEY. This is super hard to do, considering the fact that I can be very materialistic and I often have some kind of retail therapy everytime I feel like it.  But I need to do it in order for me to practice my business skills.
7. PUT UP MY OWN BUSINESS. Yes, I've been thinking about this for quite some time now. I was thinking of making EGL accessories, since I have designs in mind but I'd have to save up for my own sewing machine and allocate a huge amount of time for it.  I was also thinking of putting up a photography business (which was 90% sure already), but then again, I need the TIME to do it.  So I need to think of another suitable business, like a math or english tutoring service or a baking business ROFL XD

So yeah, those are pretty much my resolutions.  I'm determined to achieve them, and hopefully with God's help as well as with my hard work I'll be able to attain these goals/resolutions. :)

Alright, so it's still Christmas time and I hope you guys are having really wonderful celebrations :P  I sure am, since I'm with my relatives right now (although I'm here in my uncle's office blogging) and we're all pigging out.  Come January 2, I shall start to diet (which is a routine for me already every year so that I won't have to look like a pig when summer comes ;A;). 

OKAY RANDOM, MY COUSIN WENT IN AND I JUST HAD TO MINIMIZE THIS WINDOW THING. HAHA REFLEX.  But yeah, I don't like it when my relatives observe me when I'm writing.

Anyway, since I'm in my uncle's place, I'm not able to open any of my Christmas gifts because most of them are all at home.  BUT BUT BUT I'm so happy because I've gotten around more than a thousand bucks worth of cash >D And technically speaking, I think all that cash will amount to 0 even before the New Year comes.

Since it's too late for me to make a Christmas wish list, I'll be posting here stuff that I am going to buy for myself before the New Year and something new, which is a New Year Wish List.  The New Year Wish List is different from my resolutions (which I'll be posting on the 1st), since resolutions are something I want to achieve, and the wish list contains stuff that I'll most probably buy for myself/ask someone to get me/rely on God to give me (yes I believe in diving intervention, stfu >_>).  So here they are:

Stuff that I am going to buy for myself before the New Year:
-A big Vidal Sassoon curling iron
-Camel-colored gladiators (for my gladiators collection <33)
-A pink cheetah guitar strap
-A MAC eyeshadow (in pearly white. Hopefully they already have it in stock x_x)
-New bangs+highlights
-A "Little Miss Cullen" Shirt
-ZOO YORK SHOES (actually, my mom promised to get me these. Damn Shoe Salon for running out of my size :|)

New Year Wish List:
-A SPECIAL SOMEONE (and no, I do not want flings or just "fooling around" :|)
-PERMISSION FROM BOTH MY DAD AND THE DEAN FOR ME TO SHIFT TO BS MANAGEMENT-HONORS (yes, I HAVE NOT ASKED MY DAD :| I'M TOO SCARED)
-DEANS LIST GRADES (prefferably 1st honor this time :D)
-A Monogram Louis Vuitton Bowling Bag or Summit Drive in Red (it's either I get this on summer if we go to Shanghai, or the latest would be on October when we go to Hong Kong x_x)
-10-22mm Canon Lens (again, this depends on our trip to Shanghai or Hong Kong)

-Purple plaid pants (Megg wants to get me these, but I'm giving her a hard time by asking her to make personalized jeans >D)

-A pink laptop (either Sony Vaio, Toshiba or Fujitsu.  I'm most probably getting this on May, since my dad promised me he'd get me one before second year starts)

-TRIP TO EUROPE (but wait, this will be on Summer of 2010 :)) I just want the confirmation from my dad :P)
-TRIP TO TOKYO (again, Summer of 2010 after Europe, I think XD This one's going to be from my mom though XD)
-A driver's license (SUMMER)
-An accounting teacher that is NOT Venus Ibarra :|
-A gym trainer
-A membership in Moro Lorenzo Gym

Okay, I just reviewed the New Year Wish List and WTH, THAT'S EVEN MORE THAN I EXPECTED :)) i never really expected the stuff I want to be that plenty, until of course I wrote them down. Well, they're for 2009 anyway and 365.5 days is long, so I bet the wish list will increase as the months go by :3

And before I forget, here's one wish I have for this Christmas.  I think that it's in the same category of the "world peace" wish, but I think it's more realistic:

I WISH THAT PEOPLE WILL THINK OF CHRISTMAS AS THE DAY WHEN JESUS WAS BORN, NOT JUST AN EVENT FOR LOVERS OR FOR GIVING GIFTS, AND THAT PEOPLE WILL ACTUALLY PRAY SINCERELY EVEN JUST FOR TONIGHT OR OFFER AN ACT OF CHARITY TO HIM. 

I thought of this while I was at the church :3 I hope it comes true, even if only 1 or two people that I know actually do it.

Even if I don't feel the spirit at all, I just want to say...

Yeah okay, you guys already know that ATENEO IS THE CHAMPION FOR THIS YEAR'S UAAP SEASON! BOO YA!!!! 


For those of you who don't know what the UAAP is (although you guys SHOULD know what it is), it's the most awaited basketball competition in the Philippines.  Those who compete are teams from top universities such as the University of the Philippines (UP), Ateneo de Manila University (MY SCHOOL YEAH!!! XD CHAMPION!!!) , and the De La Salle University.  Among these universities, the ones who are considered as main rivals are ADMU and DLSU.   Since time have began, these two universities have been known as rivals, and they compete with each other in almost everything (even if we all know that each and every university has its own strengths).  In terms of sports, DLSU is known to be the better one, but this year, ATENEO HAS BEAT DLSU AFTER SIX FREAKIN YEARS OF NOT WINNING.  UH HUH, UH HUH, UH HUH!!!! XDDDD 

Yeah, and I WAS THERE DURING THE GAME!!! UPPER A TICKETS, YEAH!!! XD I was with Vi-Ann, my blockmate, and the day before that I was looking for people who would actually sell tickets for their original price :| Some people sold Upper B tickets for 1000++ bucks when in reality, it costs around less than 100 only :|:| So I was so flabbergasted and at that moment I kind of felt hopeless about getting any tickets. But as usual, my dad loves surprising me.  On the morning of the game itself, he texted me and said that HE GOT TWO UPPER A TICKETS!!! XD FOR FREE!!! XD Oh I love my dad, even if he always seems to give me heart attacks (like that time he surprised me with an iTouch when I thought that he just brought me cookies from the U.S =_=).  He also gave me tickets last Sunday (also Upper A) but then I had no one to go with so I gave my tickets to my cousin who's from DLSU.  I'm pretty much the only Atenean in my family, btw, so yeah x___x BUT I'M STILL PROUD TO BE BLUE-BLOODED!!! XDD


UAAP aside, I ran 3km this morning for my P.E finals :| Our prof said that if we're able to run that distance on or before 30 min, we'd be able to get an A.  Despite the fact that I pretty much walked a lot, I was able to reach the starting point again after 27 min, which means I GOT AN A IN P.E XDD BOO YA!!!! WHOOT WHOOT!!! But my legs kinda feel like jello :| Whatever, at least I got over it XD




Next challenge for me: finish the remaining half of my literature research paper :|:| I LOATHE THEE, LULU!!! >:|

Lj made me meet a lot of wonderful people, not to mention it became some sort of diary...only it would reply to me (since people give out their comments and all XD).  So I guess I can say Lj made my life more wonderful :D

Watch anime then pray :)

I had dinner.  I had fried milkfish and mechado (A Filipino Dish XD)

04. What is the ONE place you want to go before you die if you had the money and the time?
JAPAN. Hands down.

Extrovert, yet an introvert sometimes.

06. What do you do in your free time?
I usually write, but lately I haven't been inspired to write nor read anything, much less take pictures.  Nowadays it's either I watch anime, shop, solve math problems or read up on topics that I need to know to be a good debater.

07. Do you trust easily?
A bit, yes, when it comes to matters about love.  I don't mind sharing my stories, but when it comes to secrets or anything about myself or my family, then I really have to trust the person completely first before I share him or her anything about those matters.

My iTouch and my make-up kit :)

09. Is there anything that has made you unhappy these days?
YES.  For some reason, I've been pessimistic lately and all I see are the evil side of people.  For pete's sake, I'm on the verge of bitching at some of my friends. =_=

Pia-kun is one of the best people ever.  She may be way younger than me, but I can already tell that she is more mature than people her age.  She's always there to listen to me, and although we haven't been talking much I really appreciate the times when we would be in the school bus and she would listen to me whenever I rant XD She's a very lovable "daughter." I MISS YOU PIA! AND SHOUTOUT TO MAI, TINCH, SARA, RISSA, LYLY, MAPS, AND WHOEVER PA! =))

...Honestly? Nothing at all.

Both.  But I'm egoistic, so I better be assured that I'll receive something before I give.

Ball was FUNFUNFUN!!! All thanks to my very entertaining ball date and my friends XD

So Nigel picked me up at around 6 and we arrived in AC around 7:40-ish.   First thing we did was go to the photo booth and have our pictures taken.  People were staring and admiring the bouquet of light pink roses Nigel gave me, and I was even holding it in one of my solo pictures. XD  Then, just as we got food and started eating, our class was called to do the Waltz, which we've practiced a little.  Suffice to say, the dance was a bit screwed up but it was still nice nonetheless. XD 

The food was also good.  I loved the salmon but I was too shy to go back to get more.  Then there were Ange's yummy yummy cupcakes, but Nigel and I just got one.  And omg, there was this part wherein our dads had to surprise us and dance with us O_O But since dad was still in Cebu last night, my cousin Adrian was the one who danced with me.  "Tsss, I'm the most handsome dad here you know"---> ROFL!

Hmmm...then there was the class video.  I SWEAR, IT WAS SO EMBARASSING.  MARGUERITE TY AND ABBI MANEGO, I WILL TAKE REVENGE SOMEDAY.  THANKS A LOT FOR PUTTING DISGUSTING PICS OF ME IN THE VIDEO.  NOT TO MENTION A VIDEO OF ME IN MY RAVENOUS EATING MOOD =___= The XS boys and Nigel were laughing like hell.  Rusty even said "Nikki ang baho mo!"  *goes off to hide* XD

We also danced some more and more camwhoring.  The pics are in deranged_doll's Multiply account so yeah. XDD While dancing, we tried cornering Sir Jheff and I even tried grinding with Ms. Keevee but she was just laughing.  We also tried cornering Nigel but he ran away.  HAHAHA!!! XD

Finally. there was the last dance.  I slow-danced with Nigel and it was great XD He brought me home in one piece and he met my mom then he even gave her chocolates from Japan.  I ate them this morning and both the Green tea Kitkat and the English tea Kitkat were AWESOME.  I WANT MOAAAARRRRRR D:






So that's the AC '08 ball for you fellas.  It's a definitely a night to remember XD
